The scale of need
2.1 billion people still live without safely managed drinking water. More than 100 million people rely on unsafe surface water. Behind these figures are communities that need reliable infrastructure, local ownership and support that continues after installation.
Why temporary responses are not enough
Emergency water relief keeps people alive in the short term, but relief is not infrastructure. Tankers, bottled water and temporary interventions address an immediate symptom. They do not build a permanent asset or create lasting community capability. When the crisis returns, communities can be left as vulnerable as before.

Permanent clean-water infrastructure changes the equation. A well-engineered, community-managed system can deliver clean water every day, not only on delivery day. Champions for Change combines infrastructure with local participation, ongoing stewardship and transparent accountability.

Partners receive an agreed implementation plan, deployment updates, approved evidence, reporting outputs and responsible storytelling opportunities. Exact deliverables depend on the partnership agreement and confirmed deployment programme.
Onefilta Technology
Clean-Water Engineering Built to Last.
Onefilta is not designed as a temporary fix. It is engineered clean-water infrastructure built for long-term community use, including off-grid environments where conventional treatment and reliable power may be limited.
How the system operates
Source water passes through a series of engineered treatment stages before clean water is dispensed for community use. The system is designed for dependable daily operation, with durable construction and a low-positioned outlet suited to practical collection within the community.
Designed for long-term operation
Off-grid operation allows the system to work without electricity. Robust construction supports use in demanding environments, while planned maintenance, local training and continuing stewardship help protect performance over time. Subject to final technical approval, the system is designed for an operating life of five to seven years.
Monitoring and evidence
Where monitoring is enabled, each deployment can feed operational and water-delivery data into the Real-Time Impact Tracker. This gives partners continuing visibility of the infrastructure they support and creates a clear evidence trail for reporting.
Technical evidence
Technical evidence should be clear and available for review. Approved test summaries, certificates and supporting documents can be requested by prospective partners and due-diligence teams.
Community Implementation
Technology Only Works When Communities Do.
Art of Living Foundation is the community heart of Champions for Change. Its role is not simply to help deliver equipment, but to build the local participation, training and stewardship that allow infrastructure to remain useful over time.
Built with communities
Every implementation is built with communities, not simply delivered to them. Local participation, cultural understanding, community education and practical responsibility for day-to-day care are central to the programme. Communities become owners and stewards of the asset, not passive recipients.
Implementation responsibilities
Art of Living Foundation supports on-the-ground engagement, implementation coordination, training and stewardship. Onefilta remains responsible for technical system design, operating guidance and technical support. Champions for Change coordinates the programme and partner relationship.
Global reach local decisions
Art of Living Foundation’s presence across more than 180 countries provides established community networks and the potential for long-term local support. Every deployment decision will still be made locally, following verification of need, technical feasibility, community readiness and consent.
